Back-to-School 2026-2027

Hello LDMS Families!

We are super excited to kick off the 2026-2027 school year. Below you will find general information you may find helpful for starting the school year.

  • Self-Guided Tours will be August 17th from 8:00AM-3:00PM. A parent/guardian MUST be present while the student walks their schedule.
  • 6th Grade Open House will be August 19th from 6:00-7:30PM.
  • 7th/8th Grade Open House will be August 26th from 6:00 - 7:30PM.
  • We have 6 cycle days. The first day of school, August 25th will be day 1. The second day of school, August 26th will be day 2. After day 6, the cycle starts over again with day 1. And so on. Cycle days impact PE/Health/21st Century Skills and 4th period Ensembles (Band, Chorus, and Orchestra).
  • If your child has medicine that needs to be taken during the school day: Please drop off the medicine and the completed Authorization for Medication During School Hours form between 7:30-8:30AM or 6:00-7:30PM on August 19th or during school hours starting on August 27th.

It is very important for all parents to complete PowerSchool Registration (aka InfoSnap) prior to the start of the school year. Information will be sent home at a later date to complete. Please contact the middle school office at (717) 566-5310 for assistance with this process.
